An Amber Alert has been cancelled after a 2-month-old child has been found safe. 

The child, Amari Daniels, had been recovered as of 2:54 a.m. Friday morning.

Akeam Masheeq Daniels, who allegedly abducted the child about 6:15 p.m. Thursday in New Iberia has still not been located. Masheeq Daniels should be considered "armed and dangerous," the Louisiana State Police said. 

State Police also said they had located the car Masheeq Daniels was said to have been driving.

Louisiana State Police are investigating the abduction of a two-month-old baby who they believe was taken by a man who is also wanted for questioning in a Thursday night fatal shooting in New Iberia.

Police believe 26-year-old Akeam Masheeq Daniels abducted Amari Daniels around 6:15 p.m. from the 900 block of Mississippi Street, according to a Louisiana State Police press release. Authorities issued an amber alert shortly before midnight in the case.

Masheeq Daniels was driving a white 1997 two-door Cadillac with the license plate 698BJX, which was last seen travelling east on Mississippi Street, police said. The vehicle has a black top. He has black hair and brown eyes and is approximately 5'10" tall and weighs about 155 pounds, police said.

Police said Isaiah Johnson Jr., 25, and 31-year-old Avan Francisco might also be in the vehicle with Masheeq Daniels. Johnson, who is also known as Isaiah Francisco, is 5'9" and weighs 170 pounds. Francisco, who is also known as Avan Cole, is approximately 5'7" and weighs 145 pounds.

Police said Masheeq Daniels is believe to be armed and dangerous. The public should not approach him.
