KREWE DE CANAILLES PARADE: 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., downtown Lafayette. A walking parade through downtown, this year's theme is "Local Legends." Featuring an after-party with New Natives Brass Band and Lost Bayou Ramblers at 9 p.m. at Warehouse 535. Concert is ages 21 and up, $10.

KREWE OF SOUTHDOWNS PARADE: 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Baton Rouge. A family-friendly parade born in 1988.

KREWE OF ADONIS: 7 p.m., starting at the intersection of Brashear and Federal avenues, Morgan City.

DOWNTOWN OPELOUSAS MARDI GRAS CELEBRATION: 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Delta Grand Theatre, 120 S. Market St., Opelousas. Free concert featuring Geno Delafose & French Rockin' Boogie, and Mardi Gras costume contest. (337) 948-6263.

CAPTAIN GREEN'S PRE-SPANISH TOWN BALL: Doors open at 8 p.m. Spanish Moon, 1109 Highland Road, Baton Rouge. A funk-filled evening featuring music from Captain Green, Lemon Stevies and Green Onions. $10.

KREWE OF SOUTHDOWNS OFFICIAL AFTER-PARTY: 9 p.m., Uncle Earl's Bar, 3753 Perkins Road, Suite 3. Featuring music from The Iceman Special. Krewe members get in free.

LE FESTIVAL DE MARDI GRAS À LAFAYETTE: Cajun Field, Lafayette. Featuring games, rides and musical performances.

CAJUN COUNTRY COURIR DE MARDI GRAS: Downtown Eunice. Featuring live music at Walnut and Second streets, parades, dances, arts and crafts, and a traditional Mardi Gras run.


BATON ROUGE MARDI GRAS FESTIVAL: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., North Boulevard Town Square, downtown Baton Rouge. The fifth annual event, headlined by Henry Turner Jr. and Flavor, also features a vendor village and visual arts.

SPANISH TOWN PARADE PARTY: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Capitol Park Museum, 660 N. Fourth St., Baton Rouge. An annual party for the entire family. Proceeds benefit the Friends of the Capitol Park Museum. $35 adults, $25 for Friends members, and free for ages 12 and under.

SPANISH TOWN DINING: 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Cocha, 445 N. Sixth St., Baton Rouge. Stop by the downtown restaurant for drinks, burritos and chili to go.

YOUNGSVILLE MARDI GRAS PARADE: 11 a.m., starting at the Youngsville Sports Complex on Savoy Road. Family-friendly., (337) 856-4181.

SPANISH TOWN PARTY: 11 a.m., George's Place, 860 St. Louis St., Baton Rouge. Featuring free food and drink specials. 

KREWE OF SPANISH TOWN PARADE: Noon to 4 p.m., downtown Baton Rouge. The notorious parade's theme this year is “Game of Thongs.” What could go wrong?

LAFAYETTE CHILDREN'S PARADE: 12:30 p.m., beginning at the intersection of Lafayette and West Vermilion streets in downtown Lafayette.

BALDWIN MARDI GRAS PARADE: 1 p.m., beginning at the intersection of La. 182 and Main Street, Baldwin.


MARDI GRAS PARTY: 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Java Mama, 8645 Bluebonnet Blvd., Baton Rouge. Featuring face painting, balloons, king cake and other Mardi Gras festivities for the family. $5-$20.

KREWE OF DIONYSUS PARADE: 2 p.m., beginning at Gilmore Street, Berwick.

METAL GRAS: 4 p.m., The Freetown Boom Boom Room, 300 McKinley St., Lafayette. An all-metal showcase in the spirit of Mardi Gras, featuring Forming the Void and others. 

KREWE OF BONAPARTE PARADE: 6 p.m., downtown Lafayette to Cajun Field. This krewe started in 1972 with a cocktail party.

ROYAL TEETH/MAINTENANCE: 10 p.m., Blue Moon Saloon, 215 E. Convent St. Lafayette. Louisiana pop band Royal Teeth performs with Maintenance following the Krewe of Bonaparte parade.

SICKBAY SAMEDI GRAS LATE NIGHT: 10 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., Bread & Circus Provisions, 258 Bendel Road, Lafayette. Featuring music from Cedric Watson. 

SPANISH TOWN PARTY: Driftwood Cask & Barrel, 326 Third St., Baton Rouge. The downtown bar will have festivities, drink specials and music before, during and after the Spanish Town parade.


CAJUN COURIR DE MARDI GRAS RUN: Saddle Tramp Club House, 1036 E. Ebey St., Church Point. Featuring a trail ride and courir in its 57th year., (337) 227-8023.



KREWE OF GALATEA PARADE: 2 p.m., beginning at the intersection of Greenwood and Second streets, Morgan City.

QUEEN EVANGELINE'S PARADE: 6 p.m., downtown Lafayette to Cajun Field.

A NIGHT TO REMEMBER MARDI GRAS PARTY: 8 p.m. to midnight, Ruffins II, 14522 Plank Road, Baker. A fundraising event with music and drink specials. $10 admission.

MARDI GRAS EXTRAVAGANZA: 8 p.m. to midnight, Belle of Baton Rouge, 103 France St. A seasonal party with comedy and live music, hosted by the French Knights. $30-$350 at

SUNDI GRAS PARTY: 8 p.m. to midnight, The Jefferson Street Pub, 500 Jefferson St., Lafayette. Featuring music from Ray Boudreaux. 

SUNDI GRAS WITH THE ICEMAN SPECIAL: 8 p.m. to midnight, The Freetown Boom Boom Room, 300 McKinley St., Lafayette. The band performs two sets for the season. $5. 

EUNICE LIL' MARDI GRAS: Eunice Recreational Complex, 461 Sittig St., Eunice. A family-friendly chicken run and parade. $10 per child participant, for ages 16 and under., (337) 457-7389.

KREWE OF AMANI: 2 p.m., beginning at Patterson High School at the intersection La. 182 and Main Street.

LUNDI GRAS PARTY: 8 p.m., Dat Dog, 201 Jefferson St., Lafayette. Featuring music from Cedryl Ballou & the Zydeco Trendsetters, and Terry & the Zydeco Bad Boys. $10. 

THE POLLIES/DYLAN LEBLANC/THE VIATONES: 9:30 p.m., Blue Moon Saloon, 215 E. Convent St. Lafayette. Featuring performances from local rock ’n' roll groups.


TEE MAMOU-IOTA MARDI GRAS FOLKLIFE FESTIVAL: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., downtown Iota.

KREWE OF HEPHAESTUS PARADE: 2 p.m., beginning at the intersection of Sixth and Sycamore streets, Morgan City.

TOWNSQUARE MEDIA/INDEPENDENT PARADE: 2:30 p.m., downtown Lafayette to Cajun Field.

DOM & ACE: 7 p.m., The Blues Room, 232 Lafayette St., Baton Rouge. A special Mardi Gras performance at the downtown bar. 

MAGIC CRAWFISH AND MARDI GRAS COOKOUT: 8 p.m., Blue Moon Saloon, 215 E. Convent St., Lafayette. $5.

MARDI GRAS SHOW: Clark Field Stadium, Park Avenue, Lafayette. $5 adults, $3 students, free for children ages 12 and under.


CARNIVAL D'ACADIE: Downtown Crowley.

MAMOU MARDI GRAS: Downtown Mamou.

MARDI GRAS MAMBO: 8 a.m. to noon, North Boulevard Town Square, downtown Baton Rouge. An official qualifier to the Crescent City Classic, this annual event features a 10K, 15K and fun-run.
