Local musician and tinkerer Jason Harrington is breathing new life into the classic sound of tube amplification.

Harrington said his custom tube amps are as unique as each musician who plays through them. They’re hand-constructed and wired to respond to the specific instrument and playing style a musician uses.

Although Harrington’s custom amps continue to be popular for musicians who like to have intricate control over their sound, he has recently started building a line of smaller, single-ended amps so that he can offer his product without the wait or expense of a custom build.

His workshop, recording studio and showroom are all housed in two refurbished houses on Kaliste Saloom Road.
