The 5th Annual Stone Energy Gumbo Cookoff was held Wednesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Cajundome. The event is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the United Way of Acadiana. In 2015 the cookoff raised more than $200,000.

LAFAYETTE — For the first time in its nine-year history, Gulf Brew was indoors Saturday as the event welcomed approximately 1,500 people into Blackham Coliseum to sample more than 100 beers from across the region.

As the sun set Sunday evening, so did the festivities for the 30th time in downtown Lafayette for the Festival International de Louisiane, a five-day free music festival held the last week of April every year.
The air was filled with the happy sounds of fiddles and accordions, and there was plenty of two-stepping going on Saturday morning as the 30th annual Festival International de Louisiane kicked off its fourth day.
