The Lafayette chapter of Zonta Club International held its annual Save Ze Ta-Ta’z and scholarship awards at the Oakbourne Country Club complete with a much anticipated art bra auction. Chris Weaver chaired their sixth such event, the proceeds from which benefit Zonta, who in turns uses them to fund scholarships for area women, and the Breast Health Institute of Lafayette, who uses its funds for the Breast Health Symposium. Zonta International is a service organization whose mission is to advance the status of women. What we loved: Sen. Fred Mills as always, the first-place flower pots entitled “Where Flowers Bloom There is Hope” and third- place Acadian Flag “Joie de Vivre.”
