Who beat this guy, anyway? Former NBC’s “The Voice” competitor Lee Koch stopped in Lafayette for a visit with Great Harvest owners Michelle and J.P. MacFadyen, plus a little live performance. The singer-songwriter met the couple two years ago when they traveled to California, they hit it off and the rest is history. Koch actually goes back even further — one of his previous day jobs was at a Great Harvest Bakery.

“It was short lived,” he said with a smile. “I made the decision to go with music, but I might go back to bread one day.”

Koch tours 8 months out of the year with wife Nicole and daughter Jolene, and we have it on good authority the West Coast couple will soon need a bigger motor home. What we loved: The Great Harvest gentlemen, Ed Coussan’s blue gloves, and the pergola, all of which society needs more of.
