Fresh from their revelry the night before, The Mystic Krewe of Apollo was back at it for Sunday brunch at the Bons Temps Grill. Hosted by past royalty Kendrick Benoit and Mitch Reed in honor of majesties David Moore and Danny Davis, the place was packed, parking was in the road, but everyone was bright-eyed including Darrell Frugé, Conrad Breaux, Chad Terro, Kevin Doerr, Rusty Phillips, with the possible exception of the new Queen Apollo, who said, “I threw those heels under the coffee table when I got home.” We feel your pain.

Indulge hosts fundraiser

The UL Lafayette Department of Kinesiology partnered with Carol Trosclair and Indulge to raise money for the David Trosclair Memorial Scholarship Awards, and a sweeter event you can’t imagine. Participants redeemed raffle tickets for coffee and dessert at Indulge in Parc Lafayette, while hoping to win a Caribbean cruise and other treats, all for a good cause. “We are the largest program in the University,” said Dr. Brian Campbell. “Our students serve. We raise money for kinesiology students and to honor David, so they will do what he was going to.” What we loved: Heather Lefler’s black and pearls and the white chocolate coconut truffles — that’s why they call it Indulge.
