Dozens of Acadiana’s top employers will screen potential employees May 12 at the annual LEDA Job Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Cajundome Convention Center.
Organized by the Lafayette Economic Development Authority, the LEDA Job Fair is in its 20th year.
LEDA officials say it has become the top job recruitment event in the Acadiana region; last year some 118 companies participated.
The fair will offer free services to those seeking jobs.
The Louisiana Workforce Commission’s Business and Career Solutions Center will provide its E-Application Station, which allows job seekers to apply with companies at the job fair and also with those in-state and nationally.
There also will be seminars to help in the job search: Laurie J. James at 10 a.m. will present “I’ve Submitted a Résumé … Now What?” Other seminars, at different times throughout the fair, will help job seekers prepare for interviews and write résumés.
