LAFAYETTE — Additional parking will be available in lots and garages on or near the University of Louisiana at Lafayette campus for the large crowd expected for the school’s first football game of the season Saturday against Southern University.
Visitors may park along Johnston and St. Landry streets, as well as behind South Louisiana Community College, university officials announced Thursday.
Visitors and fans also will have the option to park in the field behind the Hilton Garden Inn on Congress Street.
Additional parking options include: City Hall, Blackham Coliseum, as well as along Coliseum Road and at the Our Lady of Lourdes property located at 611 St. Landry St.
The university will provide free shuttle runs from several locations, beginning at 10 a.m. and ending one hour after the game has finished.
The Louisiana Immersive Technologies Enterprise center, 537 Cajundome Blvd., will offer paved parking at its facility across from Cajun Field for $10 per vehicle.
Visitors planning to park at the LITE center may begin parking at 4 p.m. until the lot is full.
RVs are not allowed at the LITE center lot, and payments must be in cash.
