Cancer Center of Acadiana at Lafayette General Medical Center is seeking men and women between the ages of 18 and 80 who have been diagnosed with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma to participate in a clinical trial.
The research study is being conducted at multiple hospitals across the country and will investigate the effectiveness of a drug in use with the current standard chemotherapy treatments for patients with previously untreated, activated B-cell, diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.
Oncologist Dr. Salman Malad will preside over the study and Cancer Center of Acadiana staff will closely monitor and assess the patients’ progress in the trial and through follow-up care.
This is a Phase III clinical trial. Drugs that successfully pass Phase III may be approved for use in the general population by the national regulatory authority.
