Parishwide Proposition 1

(Roads & Bridges)

To renew a 10-year, 4.17-mill property tax generating $7.8 million a year for building and improving roads and bridges

Parishwide Proposition 2

(Public Health, Mosquito Control & Animal Control)

To allow some of the taxes currently dedicated for public health and mosquito control to be used for animal control. The parish would levy a 10-year, 3.56-mill property tax estimated to generate $6.7 million a year for public health units, mosquito control and animal control, replacing the 2.06-mill public health tax and a 1.50-mill mosquito control tax approved by voters on July 15, 2006, and April 30, 2011, respectively.

ST. MARY PARISH

Law Enforcement Sub-District No. 1

To renew a five-year, 15-mill property tax generating $494,000 a year for additional funding for the sub-district.

Road District No. 1

To authorize the district to incur debt through a 20-year, $6.5 million bond, to be repaid with property taxes, for roads, highways and bridges.

Consolidated School District No. 2

To renew a 10-year, 12.17-mill property tax generating $2.2 million a year to provide additional support to public schools in the district.

Consolidated School District No. 3

To renew a 10-year, 12-mill property tax generating $2.26 million a year to maintain and improve public schools in the district.

Sixth Ward Special School District No. 3

To renew a 10-year, 11.75-mill property tax generating $2.8 million a year to give additional support to public schools in the district.

Consolidated Gravity Drainage District No. 2

To renew a 10-year, 2.5-mill property tax generating $285,000 a year.

Waterworks District No. 5

To levy a 10-year, 4.60-mill property tax expected to generate $370,000 a year.

Ward 4 Fire Protection District No. 2

To levy a 10-year, 4-mill property tax expected to generate $210,000 a year.

Sewerage District No. 8

To renew a 10-year, 6.44-mill property tax generating $303,414 a year.

Mosquito Control District No. 1

To renew a five-year, 7.19-mill property tax generating $170,000 a year.
