A New Iberia man pleaded guilty in federal court Thursday to producing child pornography involving more than 60 boys through the video-streaming service Skype.
A sentencing date is pending for Raymond F. Doyle III, 40, who entered a guilty plea for one count of producing child pornography, U.S. Attorney Stephanie Finley announced in a news release.
U.S. Postal Service agents led authorities to Doyle’s home after he shipped a sex toy to a 14-year-old Oklahoma boy for use on Skype, Finley said.
A search of Doyle’s computer revealed he was in contact with more than 60 boys, and in most cases, he posed as a female to entice them, Finley said.
Doyle faces mandatory 30 years in prison, a lifetime of supervised release and a $250,000 fine. He’s also required to register as a sex offender.
