LAFAYETTE PARISH

Parishwide Bayou Vermilion District

PROPOSITION 1

To continue to levy a 10-year, 0.75-mill property tax generating $1,561,000 a year for maintenance and improvements included in the master plan.

PROPOSITION 2

To incur bonded debt of up to $4 million for 20 years, to be repaid with property taxes of which 0.17 mill to be levied in the first year, for maintenance and improvements included in the master plan.

ST. LANDRY PARISH

Recall proposition

To recall Ronnell “Bruce” Broussard, chief of police, town of Washington.

Ward 1 South Gravity Drainage District 1

To continue to levy a 10-year, 3.49-mill property tax generating $213,500 a year.

ST. MARTIN PARISH

Parishwide School District

PROPOSITION 1

To incur bonded debt of up to $64.5 million for 20 years, to be repaid with property taxes of which the first year would be 21.50 mills, for school building improvements.

PROPOSITION 2

To continue a 10-year, 1.62-mill property tax generating $608,716 a year for additional support to public schools by financing instructional materials, equipment and supplies, as well as other school-related purposes and improvements.

Recreation District 1

To incur bonded debt of up to $1 million for 15 years to be repaid with property tax of which 4 mills to be levied the first year, for parks, playgrounds, recreation centers and other recreational facilities.

Henderson sales tax rededication

To rededicate the proceeds of the 1 percent sales and use tax authorized in perpetuity in the July 8, 1972, election and generating $150,000 a year, along with amounts previously collected but not yet spent, for: public streets, parks and recreational facilities, public buildings and the sewage collection and disposal system, and garbage and solid waste collection and disposal facilities.

VERMILION PARISH

Consolidated Gravity Drainage District 1

To renew a 10-year, 16-mill property tax generating $531,200 a year.

Consolidated Gravity Drainage District 2-A

To continue a 10-year, 18.26-mill property tax, which represents a 1.24-mill increase over the 17.02-mill tax authorized through 2016 and which is estimated to generate $257,000 a year.

Coulee des Jonc Drainage District

To continue a 10-year, 11.53-mill property tax, which represents a 0.69-mill increase over the 10.84 mills tax authorized 2016 and which is estimated to generate $228,650 a year.

Prairie Gregg Drainage District

To continue a 10-year, 19.53-mill property tax generating $342,000 a year.
