The new development director for the nonprofit Festival International de Louisiane in Lafayette says she’s “thrilled and honored to be joining such a prestigious organization” and looks forward to carrying on the festival’s traditions.
Candace Gulotta-Haggart takes over the position on Monday. It will be her job to secure sponsorships, coordinate fundraising events and manage the organization’s donor programs.
“Lafayette is such a vibrant and creative community and I look forward to working with the Festival International team to continue the great work and wonderful traditions Festival has created over the past 30 years,” she said in a news release Wednesday announcing her appointment.
Born and raised in Plaquemine, Gulotta-Haggart was most recently the director of development and special projects for the New Cardiovascular Horizons Foundation in Lafayette.
She also has coordinated events for HBO’s “Treme” in New Orleans and worked in production management for Accent on Arrangements and music industry events in Austin, Texas, and Los Angeles.
She is on the boards for the Acadiana Symphony Women’s League and Generation ASO, a young professionals organization, and is the chairwoman for the Mad Hatter’s Luncheon, an annual event hosted by the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra.
