LAFAYETTE — The Lafayette Education Foundation, which supports educators through grants that enhance classroom education and its annual Teacher Awards show, has announced upcoming fundraisers in a news release:

• On Wednesday, Bullritos, 2201 Kaliste Saloom Road, will donate 20 percent of each transaction if LEF is mentioned at time of purchase.

• On Sept. 26, Swirll Yogurt Shop, 2207 Kaliste Saloom Road, will donate 10 percent of all sales to LEF.

• On Oct. 5, Walk-On’s, 2236 Kaliste Saloom Road, will donate 10 percent of its sales to the organization.

Volunteers needed to be money coaches

LAFAYETTE — The United Way of Acadiana seeks volunteers interested in serving as “Money Smart” coaches to teach financial literacy classes.

The volunteers are needed to teach a 10-week “Money Smart” curriculum. Training is provided.

Money Smart coaches will help others learn how to manage financial resources more wisely; make informed decisions about finances; and create relationships with financial institutions to foster financial stability, according to a news release.

The next training session for Money Smart coaches will be from 10 a.m. to noon Oct. 6 at the United Way of Acadiana office, 215 E. Pinhook Road.
