Kervin Gallien Jr., wanted in the March 14 shooting on Marigold Loop, was arrested at noon Thursday in the 400 block of Daisy Street in Lafayette, according to the Lafayette Police Department.

Gallien, 33, is alleged to have shot the 42-year-old male victim in the chest in the 400 block of Marigold Loop around 7 p.m.

Gallien was arrested on a warrant on attempted second-degree murder from the shooting as well as a new count of felony possession of a firearm, police said.

The arrest was the result of a collaborative effort among the Police Department's Special Investigation Unit, Lafayette City Marshal’s Office and the U.S. Marshals task force.
