A Lafayette Parish grand jury this week indicted the 17-year-old male on felony charges that included second-degree murder in the December shooting death of a Lafayette man.
Aurtray Kentrial Dugas, who turns 18 in May, has been in the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center since the Dec. 2 shooting death of Joseph Celestine, who was found lying in the roadway at Eighth and Sterling streets in Lafayette. Celestine died in an area hospital later that day.
Dugas also was indicted on counts of unlawfully possessing a firearm and unlawfully possessing a stolen firearm, according to the 15th Judicial District Attorney’s Office.
The grand jury Thursday also indicted Todd Anthony Hebert on one count of manslaughter in the Nov. 2 death of Edmond Brown.
