LAFAYETTE —A 51-year-old Lafayette woman was killed in a collision with an SUV at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Broadmoor Boulevard and Robley Drive, Cpl. Paul Mouton, a Lafayette police spokesman, said in a news release. The driver of the other vehicle in the crash was charged with vehicular homicide, driving under suspension and third-offense DWI.
A silver SUV was traveling northeast on Robley Drive and disregarded the stop sign at the intersection with Broadmoor, colliding with a four-door Nissan driven by Jeanne Tatman, 50, of Lafayette, Mouton said.
She was pronounced dead at the scene, Mouton said. The driver of the SUV, Miguel Reyes, 43, of Lafayette, was transported to a hospital and later booked into the Lafayette parish Correctional Center.
