Two Men and a Truck, the national moving company, is opening a franchise in Lafayette next month.

Bryan Jones, who started with the Baton Rouge location of Two Men and a Truck when it opened in May 2011, has purchased the franchise rights for Lafayette and Houma. A location will open in mid-December at 4000 Johnston St. in Lafayette, with two trucks and 10 employees. By the summer, Jones said he expects the Lafayette location will grow to four trucks and about 15 employees.

In two or three years, Jones said he hopes to open a location in Houma. “I want to keep expanding to other cities in south Louisiana, maybe Lake Charles,” Jones said.

Jones, 25, is a native of Denham Springs. He started working with the moving company while he was a student at LSU.

Two Men and a Truck has more than 300 franchises across the U.S.
