A federal judge on Wednesday sentenced a Franklin man to 78 months in prison for having on his computer photos and videos of children having hard-core sex.
Tommie Joseph Beason, 37, also was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Richard Haik to five years’ supervised release, said U.S. Attorney Stephanie Finley.
Police who searched Beason’s home June 3, 2014, found 230 images and 88 videos of child pornography on the defendant’s computer hard drive, Finley said in a news release.
“The illegal files included prepubescent child pornography with very young children and sadistic material,” Finley said.
Beason pleaded guilty Oct. 27 to one count of possession of child pornography in a case investigated by U.S. Homeland Security agents and State Police and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Luke Walker.
