Search of electronic device for child porn leads to two arrests; one is a teacher in Abbeville _lowres

A former Vermilion Parish middle school teacher who once worked for a state child welfare agency has been sentenced to 70 years in prison for making and possessing child pornography, according to the Office of U.S. Attorney Alexander C. Van Hook.

James Stacey Harber, 33,  previously of Ohio, was sentenced Jan. 19 by U.S. District Judge Dee D. Drell on three counts of production of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography. Harber was also sentenced to a lifetime of supervised release and is required to register as a sex offender.
