MORGAN CITY — A Morgan City man wanted since October in the shooting and wounding of two people was arrested this week by Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies in the Houma area, officials said.
Barron F. Kenner was booked into Terrebonne Parish, and on Wednesday was awaiting transport back to Morgan City, police Lt. James Blair said in a news release.
Kenner, 40, was booked on two counts of attempted second-degree murder; possession of a firearm by a felon; and possession of a firearm in a firearm-free zone.
Kenner is a suspect in a 10 a.m. shooting Oct. 21 that left two people wounded near the intersection of Federal Avenue and Orange Street near Julia B. Maitland Elemtary School, Blair said.
Blair said Morgan City detectives have sought Kenner since the shooting, and aided Terrebonne Parish detectives in locating the suspect.
