A Church Point woman was sentenced to three years in prison Monday after pleading guilty to vehicular homicide in the 2012 death of 35-year-old Tony Guerrero.

Tina Taylor, 46, registered a .109 blood-alcohol level in the Jan. 14, 2012, two-vehicle crash, which killed Guerrero on the scene, State Police have said.

Guerrero, of New Iberia, was on motorcycle traveling south on U.S. 167 when Taylor pulled out in front of him from a stop sign on Bourque Road. The motorcycle crashed into Taylor’s car before she hit Guerrero’s body in the median.

Taylor was booked on Monday into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center, where she will serve a three-year mandatory sentence. She was also fined $2,000 and $345 in court costs.
