MORGAN CITY — A Morgan City man was arrested Thursday night on suspicion he stole hundreds of thousands of dollars from a financial company and intimidated a witness in a theft investigation that began in March 2014.
Armond Duhon, 61, was booked on 23 counts of theft over $1,500 that total $773,785, money that was allegedly stolen from banking accounts belonging to Capital Management Consultants Inc., Morgan City Police Capt. James Blair said.
Duhon was also booked on counts of money laundering and racketeering.
Bail for Duhon, whose residence is on Sixth Street in Morgan City, was set at $576,000.
Blair said in a statement that the investigation continues and that more arrests are pending. Duhon was arrested at 7:10 p.m. Thursday.
