The Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office has issued an arrest warrant for 25-year-old Nathaniel Bates in the early Friday morning shooting death of a Crowley man, according to a news release.
Bates is wanted on one count of second-degree murder in the killing of 30-year-old Brian Keith LaFleur, according to a news release.
The shooting occurred at 1:20 a.m. during an argument at Meadows apartment complex, the release said.
A second person, whose identity and age were not released, suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his leg, the release said. He was treated and released from a hospital.
