Nurse accused of conspiring to bring contraband into St. Mary Parish jail _lowres

A Jeanerette nurse who works for a private healthcare company that serves the St. Mary Parish jail was arrested Friday and accused of conspiring to bring contraband into the facility, the Sheriff’s Office said in its Monday arrest report.

Tiffany A. Sonnier, 26, of 2806 Dalbor St., was booked around 5 p.m. Friday after she admitted to the conspiracy, said Traci Landry, Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman.

Sonnier also was booked on counts of introducing contraband into a penal institution and possession of Adderall, a Schedule II narcotic, after deputies found the pills in her possession during the booking process, Landry said.

Sonnier had been released from jail by Monday afternoon, according to jail records.
