Lafayette police search for man, 22, in Ginger Street shooting that left one man wounded in July _lowres

Police are looking for a Lafayette man accused of shooting a man in the back almost two months ago.

William Meyer, 22, is wanted on a count of attempted second-degree murder in the July 16 shooting in the 100 block of Ginger Street, according to the Lafayette Police Department.

Police say Meyer drove by the victim and fired multiple times, striking the victim twice in the back.

The victim was treated and released from an area hospital.
