A Lafayette man accused of driving drunk in a January fatal crash that killed 49-year-old Brian Nolan was charged Wednesday with vehicular homicide.
Federico Morales, 20, is also accused of driving without a license and running a red light in the Jan. 13 crash, according to charges filed in his case.
Police said Morales was driving a Ford Expedition when he ran the light on Ambassador Caffery Parkway at Dulles Drive, broadsiding the driver’s side of Nolan’s Chevrolet Suburban.
The three children riding with Nolan, of Lafayette, were physically unharmed, but Nolan was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital, police said.
Morales is scheduled for arraignment on May 19.
