LAFAYETTE — A Duson man remained in a Lafayette hospital Monday after being shot in the chest during a home invasion at his apartment over the weekend, officials said.
Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesman Capt. Kip Judice said the victim, whose name and condition were not being released, was shot Friday night in the 300 block of Marigny Circle in Duson. Judice said sheriff’s deputies were called at 9:39 p.m. Friday.
“Upon arrival, deputies found evidence of forced entry into the victim’s apartment and the victim suffering at least one gunshot wound,” Judice said in a release.
He said sheriff’s investigators are asking anyone with information to call Lafayette Crime Stoppers at (337) 232-8477.
