OPELOUSAS — A South Louisiana Community College student arrested Thursday evening is accused of bringing a gun to the school's T.H. Harris campus.

Opelousas police responded to the community college after a report was made that a student had a gun on campus. When officers arrived, the student, identified as Logan Foret, 20, wasn't there.

Broussard police later arrested Foret at his home in Broussard. He was booked into the Lafayette Parish jail on illegal possession of a firearm in a firearm free zone and illegal carrying of weapons. He is scheduled to be transferred to the St. Landry Parish jail on Friday.
