Suspect arrested in Oct. 8 shooting

The suspect wanted in the Oct. 8 shooting death of a Four Corners man was arrested early Thursday by Port Arthur, Texas, police, officials said.

Henderson Wesley was arrested on a warrant for second-degree murder in the killing of Ronald Chillis Jr., who was shot in the chest several times, St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Traci Landry said.

Chillis was shot at a home on Ronald Lane at 3:41 p.m. Chillis, 32, was pronounced dead at Franklin Foundation Hospital.

Wesley, whose age was not released Thursday, was located after investigatory work by the U.S. Marshal’s Office in Lafayette and Beaumont, Texas, Landry said.
