Police on Tuesday arrested three people accused of involvement in a Monday night drive-by shooting in Lafayette’s Mouton Park that injured three people.
Isaiah Isaac and Earl Shelvin, both 24-year-olds from Lafayette, are accused of attempted second-degree murder in the shooting, according to a news release from the Lafayette Police Department.
A third person, 22-year-old Kheila Francis, also of Lafayette, is accused of principal to attempted second-degree murder, according to the release.
The victims were sitting in a vehicle at Mouton Park when the three suspects drove up, stopped their vehicle and began firing — grazing one of the victims in the head — before fleeing the scene, police said. The incident happened about 8:30 p.m.
The victims were transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation remains ongoing.
