A rider who fell from a float in the Friday Night Parade in Lafayette remains hospitalized in critical but stable condition Sunday afternoon, the Mystic Krewe of Apollo said.

The rider, Quinn DeJean, was rushed to the hospital after falling from the top level of a float on Johnston Street and Whittington Drive, according to reports from KATC-TV.

The Mystic Krewe of Apollo identified DeJean as the rider and a member of the krewe in a Facebook post Saturday, asking for prayers for DeJeans’ recovery and for his family.

In an update posted Sunday afternoon, the krewe said he remains in the intensive care unit but that “small positive changes” have been seen.

“Please continue to pray for Quinn, his family and friends,” the krewe said.
