St. Mary Parish authorities are investigating a Sunday afternoon shooting that left two men wounded in the unincorporated community of Four Corners.

One of the victims, a 30-year-old man, was in stable condition Monday morning at a Lafayette hospital after he was found with a bullet wound about 5 p.m. Sunday on Jones Road No. 2 , according to the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities were notified of a second shooting victim, a 34-year-old man, who was treated and released at a Franklin hospital Sunday shortly after the first shooting victim was found, the Sheriff’s Office said.

No further details were released Monday as detectives continued investigating the shooting.
