Two armed men stole a bag of money and keys from two daiquiri shop employees closing the business on Sunday night, according to the Lafayette Police Department.

The two victims told police that as they exited Bogart’s Daiquiris at 110 14th St. around 9 p.m., two men covering their faces and wearing all black had emerged from behind the employees’ vehicles while brandishing handguns.

The men fired their pistols after they took the money and ran off, heading north on the Evangeline Thruway with a bag full of cash and the employees’ keys.
