Lafayette Police are investigating a Sunday morning home invasion in which three men forced their way into a home, demanded money and shot one of the victims in the leg before leaving.

The invasion happened around 1:50 a.m. in the 400 block of Strasbourg Drive, the Lafayette Police Department said in a news release.

The victim told authorities the three men were armed with guns and wearing masks and dark clothing when they kicked open the front door of the home, ordered the two victims onto the floor and demanded money, police said. The victim who was shot in the leg is in stable condition at an area hospital.
