BREAUX BRIDGE — Police arrested two people this week and are trying to identify a third in a Sunday drive-by shooting that left a 21-year-old Breaux Bridge woman injured.
Queenlyn Marie Comeaux, 21, of Lafayette, and Quinntin Michael Senegal, 28, of St. Martinville, were both arrested Monday on counts of principal to attempted second-degree murder, Breaux Bridge Police spokesman Lt. Darren Benoit said.
Authorities are combing evidence to determine whether Comeaux or Senegal was the shooter, and police are working to identify another man who was said to be present in the shooting, Benoit said.
The incident happened in the 700 block of Hanks Street around 7:15 p.m. Sunday, Benoit said. The victim was released from a local hospital later that night after she was treated for a gunshot wound to the hip.
