A Lafayette man accused of shooting and injuring two men last month on North Loop Street was in Lafayette Parish jail Wednesday, where he’s being held on two counts of attempted first-degree murder.

Police arrested Javari Guidry, 19, on Tuesday in the 300 block of Eric Street, Lafayette Police Department spokesman Cpl. Paul Mouton said. His bail is listed at a total of $150,000.

Two men, aged 20 and 27, were hospitalized with moderate injuries after someone shot each of them three times, police have said. It happened around 3:50 p.m. on July 28 in the 100 block of North Loop Street.

The case remains under investigation.
