A second body, this one a white male, was found Tuesday inside a 2007 Ford Taurus submerged in Lake Dubuisson in St. Landry Parish.
On Monday, the body of Lia Ali Kazan, 21, of Shreveport, was found in the lake.
The Alexandria Police Department on Tuesday confirmed that Kazan was kidnapped from an Alexandria motel this past weekend. They said she was kidnapped from the parking lot by a white male in her own car.
Sheriff Bobby Guidroz says the discovery of the bodies are connected but how remains unclear.
The Sheriff's Office, in a short press conference Tuesday, said that during the investigation of the Kazan case, tracks found at the scene directed investigators to a submerged vehicle.
Monday morning, a fisherman found her personal items in the lake. St. Landry sheriff's divers found her body later that day.
The identity of the male is being withheld until his next-of-kin are notified.
