Two Eunice residents arrested earlier this week after a high-speed chase in central Texas were named on Friday as suspects in the shooting death of 22-year-old Akeem Caesar, KATC-TV reported.

Phillip Lafleur, 22, and Candice Vidrine, 21, both of Eunice, will be extradited to Louisiana on counts of second-degree murder in the death of Caesar, whose body was found in a wooded area of Eunice on Feb. 1, according to Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot.

Lafleur and Vidrine were carrying guns stolen in a recent Eunice burglary when they were arrested by San Angelo, Texas, police, after allegedly stealing a truck, Fontenot said.
