A Broussard man released from prison in August after serving seven months of a two-year sentence in a vehicular homicide conviction was arrested late Friday for third-offense OWI, KATC-TV reported.

Dallas Fabre, 51, registered below the legal limit for blood-alcohol concentration following a traffic crash in the 800 block of East Main Street, but he told police he had taken prescription medication that night, according to police reports.

Fabre was convicted in the 2010 death of 65-year-old Bobbie Tinker.
