Four men were shot and injured Monday afternoon in Lafayette, according to the Lafayette Police Department.

Three of the victims were transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries and the fourth man refused medical attention, said Cpl. Paul Mouton, Lafayette Police Department spokesman.

Responding officers determined several people inside a silver Ford F-150 pickup began shooting toward the victims as they walked along the 800 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Mouton said. The shooting happened about 1:20 p.m.

Anyone with information about the crime or the shooters’ identities is asked to contact the Lafayette Police Department or the anonymous Crime Stoppers tip line at (337) 232-TIPS.
