A suspicious package found Sunday in an Opelousas Wal-Mart that led to the store being locked down and a hazardous materials team from Baton Rouge called to detonate, it turned out to be a bag of candy.

Opelousas police said when the package was found at the Wal-Mart on East Cresswell Lane, the Baton Rouge hazmat team was called to blow it up, according to KATC-TV.

The package was wrapped in electrical tape, making it difficult for police to see the contents, the television station reported. However, once they were able to see inside the package, authorities determined it was candy. Officials have not said what kind of candy was found.
