A Crowley man died Tuesday morning in a four-vehicle crash on Interstate 10 in Acadia Parish after he crossed the median and crashed into three vehicles.

Tremayne Leblanc, 25, was driving a 2003 Toyota Camry westbound near Egan around 9 a.m. when he crossed the median for unknown reasons, according to a State Police news release.

Leblanc first crashed into a 2005 Volkswagen SUV driven by Derick Kyere, 46, of Humble, Texas. Leblanc then crashed into a 2013 International Tractor Trailer driven by Clarence Capps, 71, of Empire, Alabama, and a 2016 Dodge Caravan driven by Kevin Keele, 33, of Huntington, Texas, and with 44-year-old Jackie Hewitt, of Lufkin, Texas, in the vehicle.

A second person in Leblanc’s vehicle, 25-year-old Tyler Daigle, suffered moderate injuries and was hospitalized.

Everyone in the other vehicles suffered minor injuries.

Leblanc died at the scene, the news release says.

Toxicology samples were taken from Leblanc for analysis. All other drivers were given a chemical test and found not to be impaired.

The crash remains under investigation.
