Iberia deputies arrest Lafayette man wanted in Youngsville shooting _lowres

Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies on Tuesday arrested a Lafayette man wanted in a Sunday shooting in Youngsville, according to the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies received information that Chad Boutte, 38, of 113 Triad Blvd., was at a home in the 200 block of Robitaille Road and talked him into exiting the house after deputies surrounded it, the Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Boutte was wanted on a count of attempted second-degree murder in the Sunday shooting, in which no injuries were reported. No further details have been released about the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Boutte will remain in the Iberia Parish jail until he’s extradited to Lafayette, the Sheriff’s Office said.
