Police on Friday arrested a Lafayette teenager accused of shooting two people earlier in the week after finding the suspect hidden in a relative’s closet.
Drayfus Bob, 18, was booked on two counts of attempted first-degree murder in the shooting, in which a 40-year-old man was shot in the head, according to a news release from the Lafayette Police Department.
A second target in the shooting, a 45-year-old man, was not injured.
Both victims were sitting in a car near 10th and Hazel Streets when the shooter drove by on the evening of Feb. 8 and fired multiple shots into the vehicle, according to police reports.
The injured man remains in stable condition at an area hospital, police said.
Bob remained in the Lafayette Parish jail on Friday in lieu of a $200,000 bail.
The investigation remains ongoing.
