Deputies seek to ID 2 in home invasion
LAFAYETTE — Lafayette Parish sheriff’s deputies said Wednesday they are trying to identity two men who forced their way into a home in the 100 block of Kentucky Lane in Lafayette Parish on Tuesday.
The home invasion occurred sometime after 10:30 pm. The home was occupied by a 14-year-old boy who was held at gunpoint while a safe was stolen from the home.
The robbers are described as two black men, both about 6 feet tall with medium builds, wearing dark clothing and bandanas over their faces, a news release said.
Surveillance cameras at a residence captured images of the robbers’ vehicle, which was parked on an adjacent street. It is a pewter or gray-colored Chevrolet or GMC SUV believed to be an early to mid-2000 year model.
