LAFAYETTE — A 29-year-old Lafayette man was arrested in a suspected home invasion just after midnight Friday after he allegedly entered through a woman’s unlocked window and terrorized her, officials said.
Lafayette Police Cpl. Paul Mouton said Korey James Brown threatened and struck the woman once while in her home in the 100 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, where he also damaged her apartment.
Mouton said the woman escaped to a neighboring apartment for assistance and police later located Brown in the area.
Brown, who also was booked with one count of resisting an officer, on Friday morning was in the Lafayette Parish Jail without bond.
