St. Martin Parish sheriff’s deputies arrested a Breaux Bridge woman and are searching for a New Iberia man who are accused of being behind a burglary of the Prehistoric Dinosaur Park in Henderson.
Natalie Rangel, 23, of Breaux Bridge, was booked into St. Martin Parish jail Saturday on one count of simple burglary in the caper that netted over $1,200 in cash and merchandise from the park’s gift shop, said Major Ginny Higgins, a spokeswoman for the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies also obtained an arrest warrant for Kameron Rangel, 23, of New Iberia, on one count of simple burglary in the incident, which was reported Friday morning, Higgins said.
It wasn’t clear if Natalie Rangel and Kameron Rangel are related.
Surveillance footage from inside the gift shop shows a man and a woman stealing items and taking cash from the shop, Higgins said.
