Customers were evacuated from a Walmart in Lafayette on Tuesday after an employee found a written bomb threat inside the store, police said.

Police found no hazards in the store, although in the note, someone wrote he or she would “blow this place up,” Lafayette Police Department spokesman Cpl. Nicole Benoit said.

Police released the store back to employees at 4 p.m. after responding around 1:20 p.m. to find employees had already evacuated customers from the store, Benoit said. An employee found the note at the MoneyGram, a money transfer company located inside Walmart.

The case is still under investigation.
